In the past roosters (Croatian: „pijevci“) embellished the top of almost every house of the Varaždin area. They were more than just decorations; they were symbols of vigilance and good fortune.
In the „Pijevci“ estate people bred roosters in the past. They were a source of income and prosperity for the today’s owners’ ancestors.
The times have changed, roosters have been replaced by alarm clocks, the crowing has stopped. All that is left is a red-brick rooster high on the roof as a memory of the times when roosters’ crowing could be heard from here.
Today the estate is a true oasis of hedonism, pleasure and enjoyment for body and soul. The estate consists of two houses and a special SPA zone, inviting you to indulge yourself. The houses’ interior decoration has created a true harmony. Antique furniture has been completed with numerous creative objects made by the owners. Interesting details and old pictures tell you about the history and the culture of this area.
The SPA house smells of immortelle, lemon balm and lavender, grown by the owners in their „House of the Magic Herbs“ („Kuća magične trave“).

The forests that surround the Countryhouse Pijevci hide delicious truffles, inviting you to take a walk, experience adventure. Your hosts will gladly organize a truffle hunt just for you and prepare delicious delicacies for you afterwards!

Family Agricultural Company (FAC) Jakopović
The Family Farm Jakopović is the pioneer in area of producing certified organic cosmetics in Croatia. We produce a palette of products for face and hair care, based in our own ingredients we get from organic farming and processing of herbs. The entire collection of eco cosmetics is produced as a brand of House of the Magic Herb (KMT bio cosmetics) and it consists of some 50 products.
All the products have bio certification and are produced according to Good Production Practice (GPP) and ISO 22716 standard for cosmetics production.
In order to connect care for environment, well-being, healthy life and trying to increase use of organic products we start renovation of old property, heritage from grandmother, Imanje Pijevci.
Here, our guest can expire real country life, in the pure nature, get rid of stress and have a real quality time with their families.

Our mission is to raise the customer awareness about advantages of natural products, medicinal properties of plants as the products made of them, and about safety and benefits of using these products. Caring for the environment, reducing quantity of waste is crucial for us so we try to pack as many of our products possible in eco-friendly and biodegradable packages. The individual, who is aware, is an important factor that makes impact on the awareness of the whole society.
Our vision is constant increase of production, which implies expanding sales on new markets and attracting new customers, users of our products. In our expanding sales plan, we see our products in organic corners of specialized shops, as it is yours, so they can be available to as many customers as possible, to our regular customers and to the new, future ones.
